1. Flash AP firmware
1.1 AP firmware and Configurator download
Download other versions of firmware from the official website.:https://firmware.ardupilot.org/Plane/
After selecting the version, choose the folder for Speedy Bee F405 Wing.
Download the file with the BL.HEX extension.
Note:
The file Arduplane4.X.X_SpeedyBeeF405WING_withparm_bl.hex is a complete firmware with the bootloader. It needs to be flashed using the INAV Configurator in DFU mode. After flashing, a restart is required.
The file Arduplane4.X.X_SpeedyBeeF405WING_withparm.apj is an ArduPilot JSON firmware. If the flight controller is already running ArduPilot firmware, it can be flashed with third-party firmware from Mission Planner.
1.2 Press and hold the boot key, then insert the USB (Do not connect any external devices).
The computer displays that the flight controller has entered DFU mode, you can release the BOOT key after plugging it in.
1.3 Open the Firmware Flasher page and select "Load Firmware (Local)" to load the firmware from your local device.
Select the firmware that was just downloaded.
Click on Flash Firmware to start flashing the firmware (please do not exit during the process)
Wait until the configurator indicates "Programming: SUCCESSFUL" before proceeding (please restart the flight controller after firmware flashing)
2. Flash INAV firmware
2.1 Hold down the boot button while plugging in the USB (do not connect any peripherals).
The computer displays that the flight controller has entered DFU mode.
2.2 Open the Firmware Flasher page, select the firmware you wish to flash, and click on the bottom right to flash the online firmware.
2.3 Wait for the online firmware to finish loading, and as shown in red marked 1 in the image below, you can click FLASH FIRMWARE to proceed with the flashing.
2.4 Wait for the flashing to complete, then unplug and replug the USB to connect and use.
Precautions::
1. Unless there are specific requirements, only check the switch shown in the image below, which is for erasing all files (if not checked, it may cause conflicts between the new firmware and retained files).
2. If you need to use the unstable beta firmware, you can check the switch shown in the image below and select the firmware with the RC suffix.
