1. Hardware requirements .
(1)ESC and FC need to support the use of Dshot protocol
(2)Use BLHeli_32 ESC.
(3)Or use 8-bit ESC to flash bluejay firmware.
Please refer to the following article for the flashing method:
How to flash firmware for 8-bit ESC?
2. Set to enable bidirectional Dshot.
(1)Enable the Bidirectional DShot option on the Motors page of the Betaflight configurator.
(2)Sets the number of magnets on the motor bell.
Usually 5-inch quad motor (2207) has 14 magnets.
Some smaller motors (1404) have only 12 magnets.
It is recommended to check the number of magnets of the motor or find the description of the corresponding motor before setting.
(3)Some settings of F4 FC need attention (especially when using F411 master control).
If the quad displays E:100% (or other values) after connecting the battery, it may be that the CPU usage of the FC is too high.
It is necessary to reduce the cycle frequency of pid or use a slower ESC protocol (such as Dshot300).
4. Enable by RPM filter.
The by RPM filter is the best filter for Betaflight.
After turning on bidirectional Dshot, the by rpm filter will be automatically turned on, and the value of the dynamic notch filter will be reduced (change the dynamic filter to one).
You can also manually enable by RPM filtering on the pid page of the Betaflight configurator and set it up.
