If one of the motors of your quad can't spin ,please follow the steps below to troubleshoot:
A.Testing the connection and installation between the flight controller and the ESC.
(1)Please re-plug the 8-pin cable between the ESC and the FC. Make sure the cable is well seated on both ends.
(2)Please check the pins of the ESCs and flight controller to ensure they are not bent or damaged.
(3)It's best to directly solder the connection between the flight controller and the ESC to eliminate the possibility of issues caused by wiring or connector issues.
(4)Check if there is any screw that crushes onto the copper windings of the motor.
(5)Check if there is any screw from the bottom of the frame that crushes onto the bottom side of the ESC.
B.To confirm whether the issue is caused by the flight controller or the ESCs/motors.
If there are other stacks available, swap and test to confirm whether the issue is caused by the flight controller or the ESC. If there are no other stack available for swapping, you can follow the steps below to determine whether the issue is caused by the flight controller or the ESC.
1.Verify whether the ESC(motors) are functioning properly.
Please desolder the motor that spins normally, leaving only the motor that cannot rotate. Observe whether the motor emits a self-checking beep when the battery is connected:
(1) If there is a self-checking beep, it indicates that the ESC is likely functioning normally.
(2) If there is no self-checking beep, it indicates a fault with either the ESC or the motor. Please swap the motor to confirm if the issue is caused by the motor.
If, after swapping the motor, there is still no self-checking beep upon powering on, it indicates a problem with the ESC.
If confirmed the problem is ESC, Please contact us via E-Mall and provide :
(1) The ESC's front and back photos along with purchase records.
(2) Please provide a video demonstrating the problem of the motor not making any sound when the battery is connected.
(3) Please connect the ESC to BLHeli configurator and provide a screenshot of the identification.
Regarding the instructions for connecting 32-bit ESCs, you can refer to the following article.
How to connect 32bit ESC to BLHeli_32.
BLHeli_Suite/BlueJay ESCs can be connected following the instructions in the article below:
How to connect 8-bit ESC to BLHeli_Suite.
2. Confirm whether the problem is caused by the Flight Controller
If you follow the above method, testing the ESCs should allow for self-checking.
Please refer to the following method to confirm if the issue is caused by the flight controller (even if the ESCs can self-check, they may still be damaged).
You can confirm whether the issue is caused by the flight controller or the ESCs by swapping the cable directly connecting the ESCs and the flight controller.
if motor #3 can't spin but motor #4 can spin, please exchange M3 and M4 wires:
After swapping the cable, observe the following:
(1) If the same motor (#3) still cannot rotate, it indicates a problem with the ESC.
(2) If another motor (#4) cannot rotate instead, it suggests a problem with the flight controller.
Please contact us via E-Mall and provide :
(1) Can the faulty ESC emit a self-test sound?
(2) Results of the test after swapping the exchange cable.
(3) Photos of the front and back sides of the faulty product.
