How to install LED strips to this FC?
There are four LED pads at four corners of the SpeedyBee F405 V4 FC. They are used in LED strips:
You can plug 4 LED strips into these connectors. You can buy LED Strips from our official store.
How to switch the control mode of LED strips?
You can find an orange LED near the FC's red antenna:
If the orange LED is always on, it means that the 4 light strips are controlled by the SpeedyBee Bluetooth/WiFi chip, and the FC is in SB_LED mode (SB_ stands for SpeedyBee).
If this orange LED light is off, it means that the LED strip is controlled by Betaflight firmware, which is the traditional control mode, and the FC is in BF_LED mode.
When the FC is in the power-on standby state, press and hold its BOOT button to switch between the SB_LED mode and the BF_LED mode of the FC.
What can be done in SB_LED mode?
In SB_LED mode, short press the BOOT button to cycle the LED display modes. Currently, it only has a few display effects. We will add more effects in the future.
How to set up LED strips in Betaflight?
Please turn on LED_STRIP on the configuration page of the Betaflight Configurator.
Set the LEDLOW channel on the mode page.
Note that the LED strip will be off when the LEDLOW channel is on, and the LED strip will be on when the LEDLOW channel is off.
Set the color of the LED strip on the LED Strip page.
1. Select the wire sequence method and set the number of lamp beads you need.
2. Select the mode and color of the LED, then save.
After the above steps, all the settings of the LED strip are completed.
Note:
1. LED pad and cable are connected in parallel on all LED light strips, so we can only set 4 light beads. And the 4 LED strips have the same color and pattern.
If you want to control each light strip independently, please connect all the light strips in series (the connection method is shown in the figure below).
2. The LED light strip has positive and negative poles, you need to connect the end marked "din" to FC, and the end marked "do" needs to connect to the "din" of other light strips (if there are strips that need to be connected to other lights).
